No special preparation is required to join this tour. The itinerary is designed to be comfortable and accessible for travellers of different ages and fitness levels, with a balanced pace throughout the journey.
Difficulty:
Comfortable travel in groups of up to 15 guests, with transportation by Mercedes Sprinter. Professional English-speaking guides accompany the journey throughout. Accommodation is carefully selected and personally checked by our local team. Horizon Travel provides on-the-ground coordination and 24/7 support throughout the trip.

MUSLIM-FRIENDLY ARRANGEMENTS
- Prayer time is built into the daily schedule; prayer mats and qibla information are available in the vehicle.
- Verified halal meals are arranged where available. As certified halal options are limited outside Yerevan, fish or vegetarian meals are provided when halal certification cannot be confirmed.
- No wine, brandy or other alcohol tastings are included in the programme.
- The Blue Mosque is included in Yerevan programmes, subject to access and prayer times.
- Churches and monasteries are presented as cultural and historical experiences; participation in religious rituals is never required.
- Modest-dress guidance is shared before arrival. Family rooms, connecting rooms and private arrangements are available on request.

Arrive at Zvartnots International Airport, where a representative will meet you in the arrivals hall. Continue by private transfer to your hotel in Yerevan, check in and take some time to rest before beginning the programme.
Set out on a relaxed walking tour of central Yerevan. Discover Republic Square, known for its elegant architecture and musical fountains, and continue along lively Northern Avenue to the Cascade complex, featuring contemporary art, landscaped terraces and panoramic views over the city.
Subject to opening hours and prayer times, visit the historic Blue Mosque, an important centre for Yerevan’s Muslim community. In the evening, enjoy a welcome dinner at a selected verified halal restaurant.

Day 1
Begin the day at Charents Arch, one of Armenia’s most scenic viewpoints. On a clear day, enjoy panoramic views of Mount Ararat and the surrounding countryside, with time for photographs.
Continue to the classical Temple of Garni, the only surviving Greco-Roman colonnaded building in Armenia. Descend into the Azat Gorge to see the Symphony of Stones, a remarkable natural formation of towering basalt columns.
Visit the UNESCO-listed Geghard Monastery, partly carved into the surrounding rock. Explore its chambers, courtyards and stone carvings while learning about the site’s cultural and historical significance.
Take part in a traditional lavash-baking masterclass and watch how Armenia’s famous flatbread is prepared in a traditional clay oven. Afterwards, enjoy lunch prepared with verified halal meat where confirmed, or choose a vegetarian alternative.

Day 2
After breakfast, travel to Tsaghkadzor, a popular mountain resort surrounded by forested slopes. Visit Kecharis Monastery, a medieval complex dating from the 11th–13th centuries. An optional ropeway ride offers panoramic views of the surrounding mountains.
Continue to Lake Sevan, one of the world’s largest high-altitude freshwater lakes. Visit Sevanavank Monastery, set on a peninsula overlooking the lake, and enjoy a traditional fish or vegetarian lunch.
In the afternoon, travel to Dilijan, known for its forested landscapes, traditional architecture and peaceful mountain atmosphere. Take a leisurely walk through the historic centre and browse local craft shops before returning to Yerevan in the evening.

Continue to Lake Sevan, one of the world’s largest high-altitude freshwater lakes. Visit Sevanavank Monastery, set on a peninsula overlooking the lake, and enjoy a traditional fish or vegetarian lunch.

Set off on a journey through the Ararat Valley, passing orchards, vineyards and small villages. Stop near Khor Virap for panoramic views of Mount Ararat, time for photographs and an introduction to the site’s historical importance.
Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant, with verified halal options where available, or fish or vegetarian dishes arranged in advance. Drive through the spectacular Noravank Canyon and visit Noravank Monastery, surrounded by towering red cliffs. Explore its medieval architecture, carved stonework and cultural significance.
Complete the day with an alcohol-free tasting of Armenian dried fruits, honey, herbal teas or other regional products before returning to Yerevan in the evening.

Depending on your flight time, enjoy lunch, coffee or a final walk through central Yerevan. At the scheduled time, meet your driver for a private transfer to Zvartnots International Airport.
